Harvest Apple Crisp

It just isn’t Fall if we don’t have apple crisp in our house. We have about 5 apple trees between us and my parents so we need to get creative. Apple Crisp is hands down one of my favourite desserts, I get that from my Dad. Everytime I make one for my family, he gets one too. I’m certain my Mom sneaks some as well.

Here’s our family’s favourite recipe. It tried and true and super easy!

Apple Crisp

What ya need

1 cup flour

1 cup rolled oats

1 cup brown sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 cup butter

Mix together, Cut in butter. Spread over peeled apples or apple sauce, your preference. I use a 9x11 Pyrex dish and fill the dish with 3/4 thinly sliced apples.(Approx 8 apples) Then top it the oat topping.

Bake at 350 for 25-30 mins

Tip* I use my food processor to make this dish. I add the oats last after I’ve cut in the butter, its super quick and easy. I also use the thinest slicing attachment to slice the apples too. Makes this recipe even easier.*

Enjoy
